ARTIST NOTES: Euphoria of the depths As an artist, I am always drawn to the mesmerizing beauty of the natural world, here, the enchanting depths of the underwater realm. My latest creation, a large textured painting of an underwater coral scene, seeks to capture the vibrant energy and beauty of this underwater world. The painting measures 120x165cm , allowing for an immersive experience of color and movement. Through the use of bold, textured brushstrokes, I wanted to evoke the organic forms and textures found within coral reefs. The three-dimensional quality of the painting adds depth and complexity, inviting to explore the intricacies of this underwater scene . At the heart of this piece, the bright sun rays filtering through the rippling waters take center stage. These rays of light create a harmonious dance of shadows and luminance, casting a vibrant spectrum of colors on the surrounding coral formations. The play of light and shadow not only serves as a visual feast but also symbolizes the delicate balance and interdependence of life within the ecosystem. A multitude of colors grace the canvas, reflecting the way of hues found in a thriving coral reef. From deep blues and vibrant purples to fiery oranges and lush greens, the palette is as diverse as the marine life it represents. Small fish dart playfully amongst the coral, their movements adding a sense of liveliness and energy to the scene. The inspiration behind this painting lies in my fascination with the underwater world and its remarkable biodiversity. Coral reefs, have long captivated my imagination with their delicate beauty and ecological importance. By capturing this scene on canvas, I aim to raise awareness about the need for environmental conservation and protection of these fragile ecosystems. The title of this artwork, "Euphoria of the Depths," shows the joyful and awe-inspiring experience of diving into the vibrant depths of the ocean. It celebrates the sense of wonder and exhilaration that the underwater world has , reminding us of the boundless beauty and harmony that exist within nature.

My growth as an artist

Since early childhood, I have had a passion for art that has only grown stronger with time. I have had the privilege of receiving both formal and informal education in the field, which has helped me to refine my skills and develop my unique style. After completing my degree in Ukraine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Primary School Teaching, I moved to Australia in 2002. Since then, I have continued to explore different mediums, including porcelain art, spray painting, oils, watercolour, and acrylics.

One of the most significant factors that have contributed to my growth as an artist is the amount of time I have spent practicing in my home studio. Through countless hours of experimentation and exploration, I have been able to refine my technique and develop my own artistic voice. Additionally, I have been working with children for many years, both in the classroom and as a parent. This experience has allowed me to share my love of art with others and to encourage them to explore their own creativity.

Overall, my journey as an artist has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn and grow, and I look forward to continuing to explore new mediums and techniques in the years to come.
