Peacock Village With Little Explorers by Inessa Ivascanin

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Peacock village with small explorers. Stunning and colorful fantasy bird with a shabby town perched on its back. There is a park near my house where I go cycling, and on a beautiful sunny morning, I came across a peacock with beautiful feathers shining in the light. I love bright colours and as you can see, this piece was inspired by this beautiful bird. Lucky for me, I got the chance to take a photo of it that became an inspiration for me. As I worked on it, I decided to add a bit of fantasy and imagination to it, by adding a miniature traveling village with its people on its back. Villages, to me, are symbols of community, togetherness, and this idea is carried along in a few of my paintings themed around islands or floating villages. Also, the red sun in the background is an indication that at the end of the day, it is time to unwind, leave the day behind, and focus on the near future, just like the peacock is looking forward with his dreamy yet determined look on his face.

ARTIST BIO

My growth as an artist

Since early childhood, I have had a passion for art that has only grown stronger with time. I have had the privilege of receiving both formal and informal education in the field, which has helped me to refine my skills and develop my unique style. After completing my degree in Ukraine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Primary School Teaching, I moved to Australia in 2002. Since then, I have continued to explore different mediums, including porcelain art, spray painting, oils, watercolour, and acrylics.

One of the most significant factors that have contributed to my growth as an artist is the amount of time I have spent practicing in my home studio. Through countless hours of experimentation and exploration, I have been able to refine my technique and develop my own artistic voice. Additionally, I have been working with children for many years, both in the classroom and as a parent. This experience has allowed me to share my love of art with others and to encourage them to explore their own creativity.

Overall, my journey as an artist has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn and grow, and I look forward to continuing to explore new mediums and techniques in the years to come.
