Professor Purrfect by Inessa Ivascanin

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Acrylic on canvas, Ready to hang 40cm (W) x 50cm (H) x 3cm (D) Signed on the front. Professor Purrfect seems to be lost in thought, lost in his own world. His appearance is reminiscent of an intellectual, deep in contemplation. Perhaps he is pondering the mysteries of the universe or the complexities of a mathematical equation. Or maybe he is simply enjoying a moment of peace and quiet, lost in his own musings. It’s easy to imagine the stories that Professor Purrfect could tell. Perhaps he is a wise and learned feline, with a wealth of knowledge to share. Or maybe he is a gentle soul, content to spend his days curled up with a good book and a warm cup of tea. Regardless of his backstory, one thing is clear- Professor Purrfect is a beloved and cherished member of his community. He brings joy and comfort to those around him, and his quiet wisdom is a source of inspiration to all who know him. I wanted to carry a sense of warmth and comfort into this painting, hope it can inspire someone. Professor Purrfect is a reminder that even in a world full of chaos and uncertainty, there is still beauty and tranquility to be found.

ARTIST BIO

My growth as an artist

Since early childhood, I have had a passion for art that has only grown stronger with time. I have had the privilege of receiving both formal and informal education in the field, which has helped me to refine my skills and develop my unique style. After completing my degree in Ukraine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Primary School Teaching, I moved to Australia in 2002. Since then, I have continued to explore different mediums, including porcelain art, spray painting, oils, watercolour, and acrylics.

One of the most significant factors that have contributed to my growth as an artist is the amount of time I have spent practicing in my home studio. Through countless hours of experimentation and exploration, I have been able to refine my technique and develop my own artistic voice. Additionally, I have been working with children for many years, both in the classroom and as a parent. This experience has allowed me to share my love of art with others and to encourage them to explore their own creativity.

Overall, my journey as an artist has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn and grow, and I look forward to continuing to explore new mediums and techniques in the years to come.
