Sunlit Reef by Inessa Ivascanin

ARTIST NOTES: Sunlit Reef

In the depths of the ocean, there was a colorful coral reef full of life. Schools of fish swam amidst the vibrant coral, darting in and out of the nooks and crannies.

Rays of sunshine filtered down from the surface, creating patterns of light and shadow on the sandy floor.

The centerpiece of the painting is a magnificent coral formation, its intricate branches and tendrils reaching up towards the surface. The coral is alive with hues of orange, pink, and purple, and tiny fish dart in and out of its many crevices.

The painting is rendered in a textured acrylic style finished with gloss , with thick brushstrokes and a bold, vibrant color palette. The ripples of the water are also shown through swirling brushstrokes, and the sunlight is captured in a light glow.

Measuring 80x160cm, signed at the front this painting is sure to be a striking and lively addition to any space.

ARTIST BIO

My growth as an artist

Since early childhood, I have had a passion for art that has only grown stronger with time. I have had the privilege of receiving both formal and informal education in the field, which has helped me to refine my skills and develop my unique style. After completing my degree in Ukraine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Primary School Teaching, I moved to Australia in 2002. Since then, I have continued to explore different mediums, including porcelain art, spray painting, oils, watercolour, and acrylics.

One of the most significant factors that have contributed to my growth as an artist is the amount of time I have spent practicing in my home studio. Through countless hours of experimentation and exploration, I have been able to refine my technique and develop my own artistic voice. Additionally, I have been working with children for many years, both in the classroom and as a parent. This experience has allowed me to share my love of art with others and to encourage them to explore their own creativity.

Overall, my journey as an artist has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn and grow, and I look forward to continuing to explore new mediums and techniques in the years to come.
