Features

ARTIST NOTES: Acrylic.gesso textures on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This painting of an owl with her babies symbolises motherhood and caregiving as owls are known for being protective and nurturing parents. I’ve poured my feelings of warmth and love into it.
This piece is a representation of the balance and care I strive to provide for my children and others in my life.
I find inspiration in the resilience and wisdom of the owl for this textured and vibrant artwork, owls are also so interesting and I wanted to paint an owl with her babies for a while.
Raising children can be a challenging and unpredictable experience, but by drawing inspiration from the natural world, it can be calm and purposeful.

ARTIST BIO

My growth as an artist

Since early childhood, I have had a passion for art that has only grown stronger with time. I have had the privilege of receiving both formal and informal education in the field, which has helped me to refine my skills and develop my unique style. After completing my degree in Ukraine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Primary School Teaching, I moved to Australia in 2002. Since then, I have continued to explore different mediums, including porcelain art, spray painting, oils, watercolour, and acrylics.

One of the most significant factors that have contributed to my growth as an artist is the amount of time I have spent practicing in my home studio. Through countless hours of experimentation and exploration, I have been able to refine my technique and develop my own artistic voice. Additionally, I have been working with children for many years, both in the classroom and as a parent. This experience has allowed me to share my love of art with others and to encourage them to explore their own creativity.

Overall, my journey as an artist has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn and grow, and I look forward to continuing to explore new mediums and techniques in the years to come.
