ARTIST NOTES: The Flamboyant Pigeon Acrylic and gloss on stretched canvas, signed at the front 40x50 cm The Flamboyant Pigeon is a painting that celebrates the unique individuality and self-expression of all beings. This piece shows a pigeon who stands out from the flock with its vibrant attire, including a fur orange hat, a bright pink jacket with a fur collar, red glasses, and a black and white shirt. The pigeon's relaxed pose exudes confidence and comfort in its own skin. I believe that every individual has the right to express themselves in their own way, regardless of societal norms and expectations. The flamboyant pigeon represents my own journey towards self-acceptance and self-expression. Through this painting, I hope to encourage others to embrace their own unique qualities and express themselves freely. The Flamboyant Pigeon reminds us that we should celebrate our differences and embrace the diversity that makes life interesting and beautiful.

ARTIST BIO

My growth as an artist

Since early childhood, I have had a passion for art that has only grown stronger with time. I have had the privilege of receiving both formal and informal education in the field, which has helped me to refine my skills and develop my unique style. After completing my degree in Ukraine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Primary School Teaching, I moved to Australia in 2002. Since then, I have continued to explore different mediums, including porcelain art, spray painting, oils, watercolour, and acrylics.

One of the most significant factors that have contributed to my growth as an artist is the amount of time I have spent practicing in my home studio. Through countless hours of experimentation and exploration, I have been able to refine my technique and develop my own artistic voice. Additionally, I have been working with children for many years, both in the classroom and as a parent. This experience has allowed me to share my love of art with others and to encourage them to explore their own creativity.

Overall, my journey as an artist has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn and grow, and I look forward to continuing to explore new mediums and techniques in the years to come.
